SERIES 37
ProStars Series 37 was the first Corinthian series release for the 2007/08 season, with 12 new figures to collect, including 5 first time sculpts!

We have the first and in fact only ProStars release of Emmanuel Adebayor, an excellent sculpt and with Corinthian only making 2,053 blisters, his would become a highly sought after release in years to come.
The same can be said for Javier Mascherano, a very popular player and this was the only ProStars figure released of the Argentine midfielder, with just 2,233 blisters being made. Finding a Mascherano blister can be some task, such is the demand and reluctance to part with one, when i collected all the blister packs his was the very last one i needed to complete all Series 1-40 blisters, you seldom see it for sale!
For Manchester United we have the first series release of Patrice Evra, his only other ProStars releases would be as part of Manchester United team packs, with Corinthian making only 2,285 blisters and would also become a rarity in years to come. Ryan Giggs made his final appearance in a ProStars Series, with Corinthian producing 2,405 blisters.
Ashley Cole is released for Chelsea with 2,405 blisters produced, the sculpt being the same as first see in Series 14. Another repaint release is Nigerian forward Obafemi Martins in Newcastle United home kit, with Corinthian making just 1,325 blisters.
Michael Dawson is another in this series which makes their one and only appearance as a ProStars figure, with just 1,504 blisters of Mickey D in Tottenham Hotspur home kit.
Shunsuke Nakamura is released in Celtic home kit, with his blister being the highest production volume in the series and by some margin, as Corinthian produced 5,924, a staggering amount for a figure released during this time period.
The legend that is Xavi was at last released as a single blister pack, his only other ProStars figure was as part of the Barcelona La Liga Champions 04/05 team pack. This Series 37 blister was incredibly popular and has always remained sought after and elusive, with just 2,597 blisters produced, it would not be enough to meet demand.
Both halves of Milan are represented by 2 legends of the game, for Inter Milan we have club captain Javier Zanetti, the sculpt being the same as seen in Series 26 Midfield Maestros, with Corinthian making 1,747 blisters.
For AC Milan we have Ronaldo, the figure is the same sculpt and kit as the Brazil Craques da Bola version, with a couple of subtle changes. The Brazil CDB series has him with Gold boots and name and number on the back of his shirt in White, the ProStars Series 37 version has the opposite, White boots and name and number in Gold, with his hair being a much lighter shade in the Brazil series issue.
It may come as a surprise to read that this is only the 2 regular series that Ronaldo appears him, the only other regular series to feature Ronaldo was Series 2. Corinthian knew demand for this figure would be high so made him the 2nd highest volume in the series with 3,487 but despite that increased volume he is still incredibly rare, such is the demand for the figure.
Completing the series line up is another first and only time sculpt, which is Christian Panucci for Roma, and Corinthian made just 1,628 blisters of the full back.
In total Corinthian made 29,593 blisters for ProStars Series 37 , which was up on Series 36. The average blister production for this series was 2,466.
Corinthian produced 2 special redemption figures for ProStars Series 37, which are Patrice Evra for Manchester United and Obafemi Martins for Newcastle United, both in their respective club away kits. Collectors were able to directly purchase the redemption figures, which were priced at £5 and came in clear sachet with a non numbered collector card, with the Evra being incredibly rare.
ProStars Series 37 was released on the 4th November 2007, with blisters priced at £3 each and Corinthian also made the series available in a case assortment, which contained all 12 blisters and 1 platinum pack, with the case assortment costing £36.
Along with the regular blister packs, Corinthian produced something special called the Platinum Pack, these were produced in much lower numbers and not available for direct sale, they were given away free for money spent with Corinthian Direct. The figures are identical to those in the standard blister and due to a factory error they are on a Green base, as opposed to to a Silver base, as to maintain the integrity of the collectible they could not re issue the platinum packs. They are on a specially designed Platinum Pack blister card, coming with an individually numbered collector card with just 360 of each being produced.
