SERIES 11
The initial plan for ProStars Series 11 was for it to be a 24 figure release, however Corinthian decided that might be hard on both collectors and stockists so the result was to split the range in half, 12 in Series 11 and the other 12 in Series 12.

ProStars Series 11 is headlined by David Beckham, here in Manchester United home kit, any Beckham figure would always out sell any other in the series and this release was no exception with Corinthian struggling to keep the blister in stock at their official collector centres.
My personal highlight from Series 11 is the first time release of Sylvain Wiltord, the sculpt is superb and i was also drawn to the fact it features him wearing long sleeves, this is a figure i instantly spent my pocket money on when i saw it for sale in my local store which was called Diary Dates.
We get another new sculpt of Michael Owen, here in Liverpool home kit, with Olivier Dacourt being released in Leeds United home kit, after appearing in the Leeds 4 pack in away kit. Davor Suker is in West Ham United home kit, his first appearance in a ProStars Series since series 4.
Alen Boksic is released for Middlesbrough, this is an all new sculpt of the Croatian and would be used for all future releases of the player. For Rangers we have Tore Andre Flo, his first release since Series 2 and Jorg Albertz, who first appeared in te Rangers 4 pack, with both Flo and Albertz being in Gers home kit.
AC Milan's representative is Oliver Bierhoff, this sculpt was first used back in Series 7 European SuperStars and would prove to be the last time Corinthian would release a Bierhoff figure. For Roma we have an all new sculpt of Gabriel Batistuta, one thing to mention is the figures body pose does differ from what is shown on the collector card.
Collectors at last got a Corinthian ProStars figure of Francesco Toldo, an excellent sculpt that Corinthian would use for all future releases of the goal keeper. Completing the line up is Hernan Crespo in Argentina home kit, another first time sculpt and would also be used for al subsequent releases of Crespo.
Corinthian produced 2 special redemption figures for this series, done to commemorate the England v Finland match which took place at Anfield in March, with Andy Cole in England home kit and Sami Hyypia in Finland away kit. Both were actually first time sculpts and would feature in Series 12. Corinthian produced just 750 of each redemption figure, making them instant collectors pieces.
Series 11 blister packs were available from collector centres from March 2001, with blisters priced at £3 each and you could also order the figures from Corinthian Direct as figure and card in sachet for £2.49. Included in each pack was the figures collector card.
Along with the regular blister packs, Corinthian produced something special called the Platinum Pack, these were produced in much lower numbers and not available for direct sale, they were given away free for money spent with Corinthian Direct, however you could also buy them from official Corinthian Collector Centres. The figures are identical to those in the standard blister but are placed on a specially designed blister card.
Corinthian did not make public how many of each blister pack or platinum pack were produced, only to say that the best seller in the series was of course Golden Balls himself David Beckham, and the ones made in the lowest volume were Boksic, Toldo, Dacourt and Bierhoff
