The 2004-05 Serie A season would prove to be a controversial one, Juventus won the league and were crowned champions for the 28th time in the clubs history, however as part of the Calciopoli scandal which rocked Italian football, they would be stripped of their league title win and relegated to Serie B!

The pack features their rock steady goal keeper Gianluigi Buffon, who was at the height of his powers during this period, joined by Italian defensive due of Fabio Cannavaro and Ginaluca Zambrotta, along with French full back Lilian Thuram.

Completing the defensive line up is a first time sculpt and one which Corinthian would never release again, which is Jonathan Zebina, an exceptional sculpt and one which would always remain popular and sought after amongst collectors.

The midfield was held in place by Brazilian Emerson, while the guile and flair was provided by Pavel Nedved, released here wearing Gold boots. The other 2 midfielders were both first time sculpts, with Mauro Camoranesi and Alessio Tacchinardi making their Corinthian ProStars debuts. Camoranesi would be released again as a ProStars figure as part of the Italy 2006 World Cup Winners team pack, however that would be a different sculpt, and also in Series 33, whilst Tacchinardi would never again be released by Corinthian, making both figures a must for any collector.

Juventus had a wealth of attacking options to call upon, with a deadly trio of Alessandro Del Piero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet. Del Piero is in away kit, as he had already been released in home kit as part of Series 27 Super Strikers, while Ibrahimovic appeared in Series 29 Stars of the Season 2004/05 in home kit, so features in third kit in the team pack.

Corinthian released the Juventus Serie A Champions 04/05 Celebration Pack on the 10th October 2005, with just 2005 packs made and an original retail price of £45. Each pack came with 12 figures, 12 collector cards and an individually numbered certificate of authenticity and a free platinum pack, with only 167 of each platinum pack produced, each collector card was individually numbered.
