SERIES 35

ProStars Series 35 was Corinthians first release of 2007, with 12 new figures to collect and there being 2 first time sculpts amongst them.

Tomas Rosicky made his ProStars debut, released here in Arsenal home kit, with there being 2,927 blisters. Joining Rosicky is team mate Thierry Henry, with Corinthian making 2,897 blisters.

 

 

The standout figure in this series simply has to be Dimitar Berbatov for Tottenham Hotspur, an exceptional sculpt and this would be the only ProStars figure released of the Bulgarian striker. Incredibly he is actually the blister made in the lowest volume, with just 1,539 produced, due to this low run of a figure only released once, he is incredibly hard to find, with a lot of figures been wanted for repaints into Manchester United kits, as Corinthian never released a ProStars figure of Berbatov for Manchester United.

 

 

Manchester United have 2 figures included in the series, we have Wayne Rooney which is the sculpt first seen in Series 33, with 2,990 blisters. We have an all new sculpt of Michael Carrick, making his first appearance in a regular ProStars Series since Series 14, with there being 2,440 blisters.

 

 

There is an all new and much improved sculpt of Frank Lampard, in Chelsea home kit there being 4,119 blisters, which was the second highest in the series. Luis Garcia is released in Liverpool home kit, his first appearance in a regular series after his debut was in the Liverpool Champions Of Europe 2006 team pack, with Corinthian releasing 2,298 blisters.

 

 

Completing the Premier League line up is Damien Duff for Newcastle United, the sculpt first

seen in Series 25, production wise Corinthian made 1,600 which was the second lowest in the series.

 

 

There are 2 figures released in the home kit of Barcelona, we have that excellent sculpt of Ronaldinho which was first released in Series 32, Corinthian produced 4,822 blisters which was the highest of any figure in this series but almost half the amount of the Series 32 blister, which just shows how production volume had been cut in the space of a couple of series. Also released for Barcelona is Gianluca Zambrotta, his first appearance in a regular series since series 21, with 2,242 blisters made.

 

 

We conclude our Series 34 journey in Milan, as there are 2 figures released in the Inter Milan home kit. Patrick Vieira has just 1,722 blisters produced and he is joined by fellow world cup winner Fabio Grosso, who has 2,172 blisters. Grosso first appeared as a ProStars figure as part of the Italy World Champions 2006 team pack.

 

 

In total Corinthian made 31,768 blisters for ProStars Series 35 , which was 485 fewer than Series 34. The average blister production for this series was 2,647.

 

 

Corinthian produced 2 special redemption figures for ProStars Series 35, which are Michael Carrick for Manchester United and Tomasz Rosicky for Arsenal, both in their respective club away kits. Collectors were able to directly purchase the redemption figures, which were priced at £5 and came in clear sachet with a non numbered collector card. 

 

 

Series 35 was released on the 22 January 2007, with blisters priced at £3 each and Corinthian also made the series available in a case assortment, which contained all 12 blisters and 1 platinum pack, with the case assortment costing £36.

 

 

Along with the regular blister packs, Corinthian produced something special called the Platinum Pack, these were produced in much lower numbers and not available for direct sale, they were given away free for money spent with Corinthian Direct. The figures are identical to those in the standard blister but are on a Silver base and assigned a PP (Platinum Pack) collector code, which was the same code as the PRO version, with the figure then placed on a specially designed Platinum Pack blister card, coming with an individually numbered collector card with just 360 of each being produced.
