JAPAN LUCKY BAG
Corinthians Japanese distributor 'New Wave' requested Corinthian to produce 4 exclusive figures to be used in their Lucky Bag. The Lucky Bag was launched on the 1st January 2006 with each bag containing approximately 25 figures from previously released stock and would also include 2 of the exclusive figures, packed at random.

The Lucky Bag cost ¥10,000 which back in 2006 was roughly £50 and although it was just a stock clearing exercise, you at least had the guarantee of getting 2 exclusive figures, unlike the previous so called 'Lucky Boxes' where the promise of an exclusive blister or Select 500 never materialised.

The 4 figures selected are Adriano in Parma home kit from the 2002/03 season, Robbie Fowler in 2005/06 Manchester City away kit, Manuel Rui Costa in AC Milan 2005/06 away kit and Damiano Tommasi in Italy 2005/06 home kit.

Corinthian only manufactured 800 of each figure and it has always been the Tommasi which has been harder to find, which I have always attributed to Italian kit figures being so popular in Japan.

The figures were released in clear sachets and came with collector card.
