CLUB GOLD
CLUB EDITION 2002

Corinthian released the Club Gold Club Edition 2002 set on the 26th of August 2002.

 

 

This was a star studded line up combining club and national kits with both home and away kits being used. Big Sol Campbell was in eye catching Arsenal away kit, while fellow England defender Wes Brown is in Manchester United home kit.

Steven Gerrard is in Liverpool away kit and over time this has become the rarest and most sought after of the set. Alan Smith is in Leeds United away kit , with Paul Scholes in the red away kit of England.

Zinedine Zidane is in the France white away kit, while Sergei Rebrov is in the Ukraine home kit, which was a nice addition if you picked up the Shevchenko in Ukraine home kit from the Club Gold Club Edition 2001 set.

Claudio Lopez is in Lazio away kit, joined by Patrick Kluivert in the excellent Barcelona away kit, however superb those away kit figures are they were all eclipsed by Oliver Kahn for Germany.

 

 

To date Kahn was the fastest selling Club Gold figure, easy to see why as the only other version was the Bayern Munich Headliners figure from the Star Kickers range, however that was only released in Germany as a 12 figure team pack, this Club Gold released gave collectors an opportunity to add this German legend to their collection

 

 

There are 10 figures in the set, all of which were released in a window box, on a Gold base and coming with collector card.
