CONVENTION 2008 PICK 'N' MIX

Corinthian held an annual convention which brought together collectors from all over the world. The Convention was the highlight of the collecting calendar and something which all collectors looked forward too, even if they were unable to attend the event personally.

The annual Corinthian Convention was an incredibly popular event, with a whole host of products being made specially for the convention. Perhaps the most popular area of the entire convention was the 'Pick 'n' Mix' section. This was essentially a huge box which was filled with all kinds of Corinthian products from their extensive back catalogue, including clear sachets, blister packs, window boxes and platinum packs.

Unfortunately the 2008 Corinthian Convention had to be cancelled, however that did not prevent Corinthian from releasing the product that would have been made available at the convention.

A fresh set of 4 Pick 'n' Mix specials were produced and you received 1 figure free for every £10 you spent with Corinthian Direct. The 4 figures were all in club away kits with the 4 chosen being Carlos Tevez for Manchester United, Fernando Torres for Liverpool, Florent Malouda for Chelsea and Theo Walcott for Arsenal

It was never disclosed how many of each were made but I do feel it will have been close to previous Pick 'n' Mix releases, somewhere around the 1,000 area, but this is only an educated guess. What i am certain of though is how rare the set is, especially Tevez and Torres, they are seldom seen for sale and in high demand, from experience you see less than half a dozen for sale a year, so if you are lucky enough to see one my advice is to grab it!

The figures were released as clear sachets and came with collector card.
