CONVENTION 2005 SPECIAL GUESTS

Corinthian held an annual convention which brought together collectors from all over the world. The Convention was the highlight of the collecting calendar and something which all collectors looked forward too, even if they were unable to attend the event personally.

The 2005 Corinthian Convention took place at Villa Park on the 11th & 12th of June, with Corinthian releasing a much requested figure and one which would never released again, this was legendary goal keeper Peter Shilton.

Peter Shilton was on hand at the convention to personally sign blister packs, with just 1,997 blisters made, an incredibly low number for a first time sculpt, with each collector card being individually numbered.

The other special guest at the 2005 convention was Frank Stapleton, who like Shilton was available to sign his blister packs. Corinthian produced Stapleton in Arsenal away kit and also Manchester United home kit. 

 

 

Corinthian made just 1,822 blister packs of Stapleton in the Arsenal away kit, and 2,175 of him in Manchester United home kit, each one coming with an individually numbered collector card.

I personally feel the Stapleton in Manchester United kit figure also belongs to the Manchester United Legends series, so I have included him in that section of the website also.​
